Parish Share Campaign 2014:

Did you know that this year’s Parish Share donations are going to build a bathroom? One of the “needs” discussed at the recent Parish Forums was to have a convenient, handicapped accessible bathroom for church attendees. We have met with several contractors about a plan to convert the current Cry Room space to a bathroom because the other bathrooms on the school side just aren’t meeting our needs now. So how does Parish Share get this done? It gives us an easy way to raise some extra money for the project. We have already received more than 1/2 of our assessment for 2014, thanks to all of you who have been so generous with your gifts this year. The sooner we pay off our assessment the more money we get to keep here for our projects. If you have not made a pledge or gift to Parish Share, and would like to help us, please consider doing so now. Use your Parish Share Envelope in your packets, or place your gift in an envelope and drop it in the collection basket.

To date 211 families have returned their pledge cards and another 45 are making monthly offerings. Pledges and paid gifts to date total $69,058 toward our goal of $81,000. So give us a hand. Parish Share Sunday this Month today Sunday, May 11th.

PROTECTING GOD'S CHILDREN
Bishop Zubik has emphasized the need for all parishes to assure all parish ministers and volunteers are compliant for the Safe Environment Progam. This includes completing the application on the Diocesan database, submitting the necessary paperwork for their Child Abuse Clearance and attending the Protecting God's Children class. Packets are available in the Gathering Space or you can stop by the Parish Office to pick one up. We will be in touch with all ministers and volunteers who are currently not in compliance with these requirements to complete this process.  You just need to sign a few papers and all the processing is done at the parish to get the approved clearances.

Protecting God's Children classes can be found on the Diocesan Website (Link posted below).  We will try to arrange a class to be held here at St. Angela to make this process a little more convenient. The class is much shorter than in previous years.
