Reverend Kevin
Dominik is the son of late John Dominik and Helen (Kazmierczak) Dominik of McKeesport,
where he attended Saint Mary Czestochowa Parish. He has one brother Lawrence and his wife Maryann who reside in North Huntingdon.
Father Kevin also has a niece Doctor Kristen Dominik, PharmD. who resides in Baltimore, Maryland and a nephew Ensign Michael
L. Dominik a 2013 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering who was Service
Selected for Navy Pilot and has begun basic flight school in NAS Pensacola Florida.
Father Kevin attended
Saint Mary’s Parish grade school and was a 1980 graduate of Serra Catholic High School. He is a 1984 graduate of Saint
Mary’s College, Orchard Lake, Michigan, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Education. It was in
those years while involved in the Priestly Formation Program in conjunction to SS Cyril and Methodius Seminary that he discerned
his vocation. The Diocese of Pittsburgh accepted him as a seminarian and was assigned to Saint Vincent Seminary where he received
a master of divinity degree in 1988.
Following his May
21, 1988 ordination to the priesthood, Father Dominik served as Parochial Vicar and Director of Religious Education for Saint
Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Verona (1988-1992); Parochial Vicar at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church, Plum Borough
(1992-1997); Deanery Director of Religious Education for the Pittsburgh Diocese (1994-1997); Parochial Vicar for Saint Valentine
Roman Catholic Church, Bethel Park (1997-1998) and as Master Catechist for the Diocese of Pittsburgh (1990-2000). On July
29, 1998 Father Kevin was named Vice Rector, Academic Dean and Director of Spiritual Formation of Saint Paul Seminary and
also the Director of Clergy and Ministerial Formation for the Pittsburgh Diocese. In July of 2001 Father Kevin was then named
as the Dean of Students at Saint Vincent Seminary. June 24, 2004 he was then named the fourth pastor of Saint Winifred Parish
in Mount Lebanon and was installed on Sunday, August 8, 2004, by the Most Reverend Donald Wuerl. During that same time period
he also served as member of the Diocesan Pastoral Council.
